A truly extraordinary bakery, located in a beautiful house, in a beautiful village Kamouraska a must on the route of the Navigators

absolutely delicious, large variety, no slicer, no creditcards

Surely one of the best bakeries in the world!

As a good tourist, I went to this bakery to make a quick visit to take a look at the fresh products that were offered to customers. As it is very small that the three girls who work at the checkout are 75 centimeters from you when you enter, I felt a little obliged to buy kek'chose worse as it is a bakery, I'm I said I was going to put my money on bread. Three days later, 3 hours drive from Kamouraska, I finally decided to taste my chocolate but they were all dry and hard for the teeth. Because I wanted to do justice to the talent of the artisans of the region, I took a leave without pay the next day and I went back. For $ 80 of gasoline, chocolate at $ 3 really worth its weight in gold and I recommend it to everyone, enemies and friends.

Their bread is truly exceptional, and I’m a devoted home baker of whole-grain breads.We’ve made detours now a couple of times on trips to the Gaspe Peninsula just to buy a loaf of their whole grain bread. I’m sure their white flour versions and pastries are wonderful, too.

A real good pumpkin seed bread! Almond cookies and also those with chocolate chips. Really very delicious.

This bakery makes an excellent baguette, ($3.50), sourdough I believe. But their sweet items are seriously overpriced and not that special, at least by Montreal standards. Same with their other breads, which range $4.50 and up. Despite the prices, the place is popular but, to me at least, is starting to seem a bit greedy and pretentious. If you can find it open, try it out and form your own opinion. You certainly could do a lot worse, it is a solid establishment.

At 57, I have eaten bread and croissants in my life and let me tell you that this bakery is an exceptional bakery ... All the products are hallucinating and all the epicureans of this world will agree with me .... In 2003, I ate croissants in Paris and I thought that I would never find anything else so good.And I found and it is in a village of exception also .... Kamouraska !!!

French and living in Montreal for 6 years, I have never eaten croissants as good as those from the Niemand bakery!Everything is perfectly done: from the lemon fougasse to bread with kalamata olives, including multi-grain bread and pastries!Small problem: they call a pain au chocolat, chocolatine :)In times of covid, they only offer "take away" but it's worth standing in line for a result so perfect ... and buttery!Well done to this great team!When will a franchise be in Montreal?

A few times now that we stop there and the last 2-3 times have been very disappointing. Nothing on the shelves well before the end of the day. We will no longer make a detour to get there, even if the products are worth it !!

Very good breads, brioches, etc. No complaints about the quality of the food. However, they take NO cards and will not slice the bread. Rather ordinary to queue, order then be forced to deposit your order, go to the counter and come back. At the prices they display, the least thing would be to take debit / credit cards. It is only a sales counter, no table or chair. The place is very beautiful.

They didn't have any pastries but we had a raisin bread which was very good. It is a very beautiful place but you have to order outside.
